Abstract

Nigeria has one of the lowest electricity generation rates in the world. This work is aimed at highlighting the contributions to the energy needs that can be achieved through the usage of biomass for electricity generation in the city of Calabar. The energy conversion technique is the bio-chemical process specifically Anaerobic Digestion. Analysis and calculations show that about 1.324 MW of electricity could be added to the local grid of the city of Calabar.
