A Quick Guide to References
Let me walk you through what we expect.
In your text...
Cite sources using the Harvard style—just the author's last name and the year in parentheses.
For example: (Chen et al., 2021); (Karmakar et al., 2020); (Yang et al., 2019).
At the end of your paper...
Please list your references in alphabetical order by the author's surname. Include the full citation—title, journal, volume, issue, page numbers. Be selective: only include the literature that truly matters to your work.
One non‑negotiable rule: every reference should have a DOI where available. If a DOI exists, please include it.

Journal article (print or without DOI)
Pattern: Author(s), year: Article title. Journal name, volume(issue), page range.

A Note on Ordering Your References
Arrange them alphabetically by the first author's last name. Using the examples above, the correct order would be:
Chen, X. et al. (2021)
Karmakar, S. et al. (2020)
Li, W. et al. (2020)
Liu, Z. et al. (2020)
Yang, B. et al. (2019)
Notice that year does not determine the order—only the author's surname matters.
